Developing Your Leadership Style Workshops offer nationally recognized assessments and models to help individuals learn their personal leadership styles and to assist teams in improving their group dynamics. The Spring 2012 Lineup:

7 Habits in (not 7, not 6, but…) 2 Hours Workshop
February 7, 7 PM – 9 PM
BLUU Suite 2003
Join your peers in combating the demands and challenges of a modern collegiate experience through this highly interactive workshop. Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective College Students will serve as the framework to support you in balancing your life and reaching future goals. Using energetic facilitation and group discussion and activities, you will gain knowledge of the 7 Habits and how to implement them in leadership and in daily life.

Leading with Strengths Workshop
February 29, 7 PM – 9 PM
(Must register by February 22nd)

Through this workshop you'll have the opportunity to participate in a new leadership version of Gallup's Strengths program that will provide you with specific strategies for leading with your top five Signature Themes. After you complete the assessment, you will receive a personalized strengths-based leadership guide. The leadership version of the program will also enable you to plot the strengths of your team based on the four domains of leadership strengths. A basic understanding or experience with StrengthsQuest required. Students must register by February 15, in order to complete the online assessment prior to the workshop.

The Five Practices of Exemplary Leaders Workshop
March 7, 7 PM – 9 PM
(Must register by March 1)

The Student LPI is the cornerstone of a powerful leadership development model, created by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner, authors of the book, The Leadership Challenge (now in its 4th edition) and The Student Leadership Challenge. This workshop offers an opportunity for students to take the online inventory free of charge and develop the Five Practices for Exemplary Leaders. Students must register by March 1, so they can complete the online assessment for the March 7 workshop.

Developing Your Leadership Style Workshops are currently offered at no cost to TCU students. There is room for 15 students per workshop. Space is reserved on a first come first choice basis.
